Is Remote Goats legit?

Yes. Remote Goats is a real, founder-run remote job board.

It is built and run in the open by Nicola Amadio, funded by member subscriptions, and free to browse before you pay. Trusting a site with your job search and your card is a fair thing to question, so here is the plain answer.

What Remote Goats is

Remote Goats is a job board and toolkit for people who want a well-paid remote tech job:

  • A remote job board with 5,534 jobs posted in the last 60 days, with filters, saved searches and email alerts.
  • Career Lab, which matches your CV against every job and gives each one a fit score.
  • The Relocation Advisor and city comparisons, for working out where your remote salary goes furthest.
  • Articles and guides on remote job search, relocation and tax.

Who runs it

One named person you can look up: Nicola Amadio, an ex-Oracle engineer based in Zurich, who also runs Euro Top Tech, a job board for European tech roles, and writes The European Engineer newsletter. You can check all of it yourself: LinkedIn, X, YouTube, The European Engineer, or the author page.

How it makes money

Subscriptions, and nothing else. There are four plans:

  • Free: browse the open remote job board and read the free articles and guides. No card needed.
  • Job Board: €19 a month, billed monthly. Every listing with the company name and apply link, all filters, saved searches with email alerts, the Relocation Advisor and the application tracker.
  • Pro: €99 a year, about €8.25 a month. Everything in Job Board, plus Career Lab, which matches your CV against every job.
  • Master: €139 a year, sold on Euro Top Tech. It bundles Remote Goats Pro with Euro Top Tech, the sister site for European tech jobs.

Payments are handled by Stripe. Full details are on the pricing page.

Employers pay nothing. Remote Goats does not sell job postings, featured slots or placement, and no company can pay for a better position in the feed. Most job boards are paid by employers; this one is paid by the people looking for work.

Where the jobs come from

  • Listings come from public remote job postings, collected by an automated pipeline into the same job database that powers Euro Top Tech.
  • The database is refreshed every day. Postings the source has taken down are hidden from the board.
  • By default the board shows jobs posted in the last 60 days, so the count you see is jobs that are recent, not every posting ever collected.
  • You apply on the company's own posting. We do not sit between you and the employer.

What Remote Goats is not

  • Not a recruiter or staffing agency. We do not place you and we take no cut of your salary.
  • Not a job guarantee. It gives you a better feed and better tools; the applications and interviews are still yours.
  • Not the employer. Hiring decisions are made by the companies behind each posting.
  • Not a data business. Your activity data is not sold or shared with advertisers (see the privacy policy).

Cancellation and refunds

Cancel from your account page at any time, no email needed. Your plan keeps working until the end of the period you already paid for, and then it does not renew.

There is no automatic refund: cancelling stops the next renewal and your plan runs to the end of the period you paid for. If a charge was a mistake, for example a renewal you meant to cancel, email us within 14 days of the charge and we will look at it case by case.
